At present the Coronavirus is the cause of much anxiety and concern for young people and families. Here are some resources designed to help cope with such stress and uncertainty at this time.

The Parent Club website has lots of useful information to help families who are in isolation at home with young children

This course by the Recovery College has been written for children aged 7-12 as a way of learning about the global pandemic. You will learn helpful information about what the new virus is, how to stay healthy and do your best not to pass it on, how you might feel about it, things to do at home and how to help yourself.

The Little Elf who missed his Birthday party is a therapeutic story by the Nottinghamshire Education Psychology service to support children explore their emotions in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Axel Scheffler has illustrated a digital book for primary school age children, free for anyone to read on screen or print out, about the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. Published by Nosy Crow, and written by staff within the company, the book has had expert input: Professor Graham Medley of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine acted as a consultant, and the company also had advice from two head teachers and a child psychologist.
